We might be done.

We have 13 tracks that run about 30 minutes. There's not enough inspiration in this short month so we are afraid that we might start repeating ourselves if continue.

The tracks have been mixes and sequenced. And I think we are ready to list them on the back of the album.

If a great idea happen in the next 11 days we will certainly make accommodations to make it on to the album.

Last year we learned about this thing on January 28th or so. It was terribly difficult to get that album done. But this year, after a year of thinking about it/planning for it, it was much easier.

They are not greatest recordings. But they are completed recordings.

Last year I heard about and signed-up for the challenge with just a few days left in January.

What a great experience.

We knew all year that we would do it again this year. And that's the problem. I don't want to use term "performance anxiety", but I quite sure that I've over thought about the challenge.

I am more certain now that I will not make it then I was last year with only five days left and three more songs to write.

Our records are usually just around 30 minutes. We hope that this one will be closer to 60. Yes, 60 minutes of drivel from Cabo Joe and Chop-Chop.

But, we can't write, can't practice... the only things that we seem to do well at this time is worry and wait.

Rock'n Roll is dead.

Long Live Worry & Wait!!

RPM 2009

So, the Cabo Joe and Chop-Chop are once again participating in the RPMChallenge.

The goal is to write/record an album in the month of February. This year we are a day shorter that last year (a leap year). I think we'll be ok, however, because we wrote down inspirational snipits throughout January and we completed our album art.

Today is the first day of the challenge and we just worked on our first demo. The song is titled "March."

We hope to complete somewhere around 14 new songs and also record our holiday effort and some old classics that we've been to afraid to record.

So, in March we could have up to three discs ready to spin at your next social gathering.

We'll keep you posted on our progress.
